The Granby Teachers Association, Inc. is the professional organization of classroom teachers, grant funded teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech & language pathologists, physical therapists, nurses, administrative support staff, payroll and benefits coordinator and paraprofessional who work in the Granby Public Schools. Currently, we are 135 GEA members strong!  We have 105 members in Unit A (teachers), 8 members in Unit C (Administrative Support Staff), and 22 members in Unit D (Paraprofessionals).  The Association is the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to wages, hours and other conditions of employment for all professional employees employed by the School Committee.  The goal of the Association is to provide education of the highest possible quality for the young people attending the Granby Public Schools.

The Granby Teachers Association is a member-driven organization, governed by democratic principles, that accepts and supports the interdependence of professionals and unionism. The GEA promotes the use of its members' collective powers to advance their professional and economic interests. The GEA is committed to human and civil rights and advocates for quality public education in an environment in which lifelong learning and innovation flourish.
